Animated short about a penguin that goes on an adventure?
Posted on 25. Jun, 2011 by Toy Expert.
When I was little I would watch a short about a little penguin that would go on adventures during the day and then come back home at night to his mom. They were pretty much the only two characters in the short. I believe this was on Playhouse Disney or some other children’s network. This was back in the late 90s or the early 2000s.
nevermind. it was only partly a cartoon. it was called paz.

What is the weirdest dream you've ever had?
Posted on 07. May, 2011 by Toy Expert.
It was around 2000-2001, I had this dream where I was walking in a new part of Michigan (where I lived during that time) and I suddenly spotted a shopping mall. I walked inside and I was darned – it was full of kids my age, almost no adults except for the ones, who worked there. Next, I found a fictional Toy Store named "Smokey’s Toys & Games" and walked inside. It had tons of kids and I found an isle full of stuffed animals from children’s TV shows. I then found a toy from the then-current hit Playhouse Disney TV show "Bear in the Big Blue House". If one hand was squeezed, he would say some phrases and if another one was squeezed, he dance to a tune and to try it, I pressed the right hand. Surprisingly, when he started dancing back and forth, the song "Thirty Two" by Karma To Burn played. I recognized the song right away because of the 2000 EA Sports video game "NASCAR 2001". Then, all of a sudden, 5 people walked over to me. They were 2 girls and 3 boys my age Kathy (9), Lauren (11), David (10), Mike (10), and John (8). I quickly became friends with them, and after I showed them the toy and what it can do, we payed for our toys with our own money, went to my house, and played in the living room. Easily, the weirdest dream I’ve ever had in my life
Additionally, from the events at the end to the aftermath, something happened. I was starting to develop a crush on Lauren (the 11-year old girl). She was light-colored, had long/straight brown hair, an orange short-sleeved shirt, camoflauge capri pants, and flip-flops. When we were waiting for a cab that I called using a phone booth, the 2 of us sat down on the bench and put our arms around each other. When the cab arrived, the 2 of us climbed into the back of the vehicle, and started having our own personal discussion. When we got to my house, the other kids started playing with each other while the 2 of us decided to play "NASCAR 2001" on my PS1 (it was already hooked up to the TV). She started asking me these questions like "Who’s number 3?" and stuff like that and answered them. I played as Dale Earnhardt (#3), she played as Terry Labonte (#5), we raced at Daytona (Daytime), and we respectively finished 1st and 3rd. After the race was over, we shook hands for a great race. Then, I told her she was cute, was very nice, and that she was pretty. It made her feel so happy inside that we kissed and hugged each other. While we were hugging, I didn’t want to let go and after 5-10 minutes, she’s like "Mark, can you please let me go", which I did. Shockingly, the other kids were unaware of the whole thing because they weren’t paying attention to us. That’s where it all ends.
Nowadays, I think to myself that too bad the dream wasn’t real and the kids don’t exist in the real world even though in the dream they were real. Though it was weird, I’ll never forget.

Parents, what do you think of the shows on Cartoon Network?
Posted on 08. Apr, 2011 by Toy Expert.
I have a four year old stepson, and have been watching a little boy that is a day older at my house.
I let my four year old watch TV shows such as the ones that are on Playhouse Disney, and Nick JR.
Anyhow, I know the four year old I am watching is allowed to watch Cartoon Network. (Not the Adult Swim, at least I hope not) I’m not judging, but so far the shows I have seen on there are garbage. At least for a child of that age. I can understand an older child who would get the humor of the shows.
I was just curious as to what you all thought about Cartoon Network?
I used to watch Cartoon Network when I was younger. I’m 21 now. I’d watch Mandy & Billy, Johnny Bravo, whatever the show with that dog was called, all the older ones. I’m not generalizing the entire network, and I like some shows on adult swim, and Family Guy is funny. Another reason I had asked, but had forgot to put in my question is I think TV is all that little boy gets at home, and not enough interaction, and I’m not sure if he gets to watch the educational stuff? I’m not judging but anyhow. I do also believe it depends on the level of the childs maturity, and I know he is a little behind for his age. I don’t believe in making your children live in a bubble either, but they don’t need to be exposed to violence and so on right away, let them be a kid, ya know? I’ve never seen a full Yo Gabba Gabba episode, but from what I see, it’s just weird, haha. Spongebob isn’t on the playlist for Nick JR, but I know what you mean, I do let our four year old watch that…
but we haven’t watched it in a really long time. Like, I said I think all the other child gets at home is TV, and not a lot of interaction. One of my other questions is about this other little boy, so that could explain further.

Which does your children prefer?
Which do you prefer?
Jaden alternated between all 3. He loved Clifford, Curious George, and Sesame Street off of PBS, he loved The Wiggles, Bear in the Big Blue House on Playhouse Disney, and he LOVED Dora and Diego on Nick Jr.
Rylee loves Yo Gabba Gabba. That’s about it. She doesn’t watch TV.
I just watch what they watch. I dont’ like any of it lol.

TV shows for little or big kids?
Posted on 13. Jan, 2011 by Toy Expert.
It used to be playhouse Disney for my two little boys ( 3 and soon 5) but when my sister, Trisha moved in ( Trish is 16) things changed. Before Trish could buy a TV for her room, Nick ( almost 5) feel in love with the older children stuff. Like Disney channel ( that’s so Raven, Hannah Montana etc.). Also stuff on Teenick and other things. I don’t see any bad content in these shows, but I would rather have my children stick to younger children things for now. Trish no longer watches these shows in my living room, but now Nick and Tyler do. And soon enough when my little baby Nigel grows up he’s going to get into it way too early. I just don’t know what to do…. I don’t really know what my question is but any help would be helpful lol
Hannah
Nick’s fav TV show list-
1. That’s so Raven
2. Drake and Josh
3. Hannah Montana
ALL I LOVE!!!! ![]()
